Unlimited Data Broadband Plans from Tata Sky, Airtel Xstream Fibre and Others Start at Rs 499

Ever since JioFiber announced its broadband plans, we have seen other Internet Service Providers (ISP) revising their plans left, right and centre. Recently, Bharti Airtel announced a new broadband identity called ‘Airtel Xstream Fibre’ and Tata Sky also revised its unlimited data broadband plans. Meanwhile, Hathway Broadband has introduced a new offer as part of which the company is offering 100 Mbps broadband plan for 12 months at just Rs 499 per month. Reliance JioFiber broadband plans are not that attractive because there’s a monthly FUP limit, however, operators like Airtel Xstream Fibre, Tata Sky, You Broadband and Hathway Broadband are offering unlimited data plans without any monthly FUP limit in place. Read on to know more about the plans in details.

Airtel Xstream Fibre Broadband Plans Detailed

Last month, Airtel announced a revamp of its broadband plans and also came up with a new identity called ‘Airtel Xstream Fibre.’ Currently, Airtel Xstream Fibre has four broadband plans- Airtel Basic priced at Rs 799, Airtel Entertainment priced at Rs 999, Airtel Premium priced at Rs 1,499 and Airtel VIP broadband plan that costs Rs 3,999 per month.

All the Airtel Xstream Fibre broadband plans come with a monthly FUP limit which is on par with Reliance JioFiber. However, Airtel is charging Rs 299 more from every customer to make the data unlimited which is 3.3TB every month. So for the users who choose Airtel’s Rs 799 Basic plan, the overall speeds will be 100 Mbps and the final charges for unlimited data will come to Rs 799+Rs 299. This is probably the best data add-on available from any broadband operator in the industry right now.

Tata Sky Broadband Unlimited Data Plans Detailed

Just a couple of days ago, we reported Tata Sky’s broadband plans revision in various cities. Tata Sky Broadband has two types of broadband plans on offer- Unlimited Data and Fixed GB plans. The ISP right now has three Unlimited Data plans priced at Rs 900, Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,100, offering speeds of up to 25 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps, respectively. Tata Sky says the data will be fully unlimited, unlike Airtel Xstream Fibre which restricts the speeds to 1 Mbps after 3.3TB data consumption. The Rs 1,1000 Tata Sky Broadband plan is the best option for many users who want high speeds and unlimited data.

You Broadband Unlimited Data Plans Detailed

Unlike Airtel Xstream Fibre and Tata Sky Broadband, You Broadband’s plans differ with almost every city like ACT Fibernet and other local Internet Service Providers. Let’s talk about the unlimited data plans offered by You Broadband in Hyderabad city. You Broadband has four unlimited data plans in Hyderabad right now and they offer speeds of 75 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 30 Mbps and 15 Mbps, respectively.

In Bengaluru, You Broadband is offering two unlimited data plans- 60 Mbps and 50 Mbps, priced at Rs 1,999 and Rs 1,690, respectively. The prices mentioned above are including taxes which is a good thing.

Hathway Broadband Unlimited Data Plans Detailed

Hathway is one of the popular Cable TV and Broadband service providers across the state. But in some cities, the company is not providing any unlimited data plans to the customers. Again in Hyderabad, the company has broadband plans offering speeds of up to 125 Mbps and there’s no FUP limit on a monthly or daily basis. Hathway Broadband also introduced a new ‘Steal the Deal‘ offer under which new customers of Hathway can avail a 100 Mbps plan without any FUP limit at an effective price of Rs 499 per month. However, customers will have to choose the same plan for 12 months which locks them in for one year.

ACT Fibernet or Atria Convergence Technologies has recently revised its broadband plans across several cities to counter the JioFiber announcement. On the same lines, Bharti Airtel announced a new broadband brand identity called ‘Airtel Xstream Fibre‘ with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps. As part of its revision, ACT Fibernet is now offering a 100 Mbps plan with 500GB of FUP at just Rs 749 per month in New Delhi. Bharti Airtel is providing up to 1 Gbps speeds in New Delhi, but ACT Fibernet has only up to 150 Mbps speeds. But which Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a better option for Delhi citizens? Well, let’s find out the detail.

Note: Airtel Xstream Fibre broadband plans are almost the same across all the cities, but ACT Fibernet’s broadband plans differ with every city. This article compares the broadband plans of Airtel Xstream Fibre and ACT Fibernet in Delhi.

ACT Fibernet Broadband Plans in Delhi: What They Offer

ACT Fibernet has a total of six broadband plans in Delhi right now and they start at Rs 749 per month (excluding taxes). The ACT Silver Promo plan priced at Rs 749 comes with 100 Mbps speeds, 500GB of FUP every month and 1000GB of extra data. The monthly rental of this broadband plan is Rs 749 and the post FUP speeds are 512 Kbps.

Next on the list are ACT Platinum Promo and ACT Diamond with speeds of 150 Mbps and monthly FUP limit of 1000GB and 1250GB, respectively. The prices of the 150 Mbps broadband plans from ACT Fibernet are Rs 999 and Rs 1,249, respectively. The ACT Remarkable broadband plan from ACT Fibernet ships with 125 Mbps speeds, 1500GB data every month, 2 Mbps after FUP speeds and 1000GB additional data at Rs 2,999 per month.

ACT Fibernet has two 200 Mbps broadband plans on offer in Delhi now- ACT Exceptional (Rs 3,999) with 2000GB FUP and ACT Phenomenal (Rs 4,999) with 2500GB FUP limit. All the ACT Fibernet broadband plans in Delhi come with 1000GB of additional data which will be valid for the duration of the subscription period. If a customer chooses an ACT Fibernet plan for just one month, then the additional data will be valid only for one month.

Besides these six broadband plans, ACT Fibernet also has two more plans- ACT Platinum Promo Entertainment and ACT Diamond Entertainment. As the name itself suggests, these plans are part of ACT’s Netflix Entertainment plans. Customers choosing these plans will get Rs 300 off on their Netflix subscription every month if they choose to pay via ACT Fibernet. They both offer 150 Mbps speeds, but the FUP limit and prices differ.

Airtel Xstream Fibre Broadband Plans in Delhi: Benefits Detailed

After the recent revision, Airtel Xstream Fibre has the best broadband plans in almost every city and the unlimited data add-on is the icing on the cake. Similar to other cities, Airtel Xstream Fibre plans in Delhi start at Rs 799 and they go all the way up to Rs 3,999. The Airtel Basic plan priced at Rs 799 (excluding taxes) offers 100 Mbps speeds, 150GB of internet every month and unlimited voice calling via Airtel landline service. The plan also comes with Airtel Xstream app subscription.

Other Airtel Xstream Fibre plans are Airtel Entertainment priced at Rs 999, Airtel Premium plan priced at Rs 1,499 and Airtel VIP plan that costs Rs 3,999 every month. The Airtel Entertainment and Airtel Premium broadband plans come with 200 Mbps and 300 Mbps speeds, respectively. The Airtel VIP plan offers up to 1 Gbps speeds and unlimited data capped at 3.3TB or 3333GB every month. Airtel also has an unlimited data add-on which allows users to get unlimited data (3.3TB every month) by paying an additional Rs 299 every month to the company.

Furthermore, Airtel Entertainment, Airtel Premium and Airtel VIP plan also come with Airtel Thanks benefits. For the unaware, Airtel Thanks benefits include one-year of Amazon Prime subscription, three months of Netflix Basic plan, free ZEE5 Premium membership every month and free access to Airtel Xstream Premium.

ACT Fibernet or Airtel Xstream Fibre: The Best ISP in Delhi is?

Both ACT Fibernet and Airtel Xstream Fibre have impressive broadband plans on offer in Delhi right now. However, we believe that Airtel Xstream Fibre has an advantage with the unlimited add-on and Airtel Thanks benefits it is offering with the plans above Rs 1,000. However, if you want a basic broadband plan, you can choose the ACT Fibernet’s Rs 749 plan that offers 500GB FUP every month. Airtel Basic plan of Rs 799 comes with only 150GB of data and the unlimited data add-on costs Rs 299 more every month. Also, Airtel’s Rs 799 plan does not come with any Airtel Thanks benefits, so in this case, ACT Fibernet’s Rs 749 plan has the upper hand.

But above Rs 1,000, it’s Airtel Xstream Fibre altogether, courtesy of Airtel Thanks benefits and the impressive unlimited data add-on of Rs 299.

JioFiber Lagging Behind Airtel Broadband, ACT Fibernet and Other Operators In Speed Index

When it comes to measuring the speed of broadband service providers and ISPs, there are a few tools that people rely upon in the market. Some of the popular names include Ookla, OpenSignal and more. However, Netflix ISP Index is also a way for the people to see which of the broadband service providers are offering the best speeds and service. This is especially useful for people who look forward to streaming Netflix on their broadband connection and do not want to compromise on that. As such, the Netflix ISP Speed Index measures the prime time Netflix performance across the various broadband service providers. Now, Netflix releases the ranking of these broadband operators every month, and since the last few months, these ranking have been pretty volatile after being consistent for months on end. And, we suspect that a lot of it has to do with the new competition in the broadband sector. Although this time there is not much change in the rankings of the broadband service providers, we do get some pointers about which broadband service providers are doing a great job at providing high-speed Netflix services to their subscribers.

reliance-jiofiber-fifth-position

Ranking in October Remains Same But Speeds Increase

Now the thing to note about this month’s result of the Netflix ISP Speed Index is that all the broadband service providers have witnessed a substantial increase in their indexes and that translates to an increase in speeds as well. However, that hasn’t translated to any change in the ranks, meaning that even though these broadband service providers have improved their speeds, the level of competition between these operators has remained the same.

Now at the top of the list, this time as well is ranking 7 Star Digital. The broadband service provider is mostly situated in Mumbai and the nearby regions, and it has maintained its position. The service provider has increased its speed from 3.46 Mbps to 3.74 Mbps, which is an appreciable increase looking at the previous trends. On the second number is Spectra, which mostly caters to regions around Delhi, but has now expanded operations to other cities as well. Spectra has also improved its speeds from 3.43 Mbps to 3.72 Mbps. Now, on the third rank is Airtel Broadband, or which is now being called as Airtel Xstream Fibre. Airtel’s ranking has also stayed the same at third place, and the operator has improved its speed from 3.37 Mbps to 3.64 Mbps.

On the fourth and fifth position are ACT Fibernet and Reliance JioFiber. While ACT has taken its speed from 3.3 Mbps to 3.63 Mbps, Reliance JioFiber’s speeds have gone up from 3.23 Mbps to 3.63 Mbps.

ACT Fibernet and 7 Star Digital In Advantage

It can be seen that in the month of September to October, all of the broadband operators have definitely made improvements in their speeds and it is more than what they have been made in a month on month basis since a long time. It was first in April 2019 that Reliance JioFiber was surpassed by 7 Star Digital, and since then, Reliance JioFiber has been declining in the rankings of Netflix ISP Speed Index. A part of the reason why this has happened can be because of the shared bandwidth, which the users are experiencing as more and more people get JioFiber connections. On the other hand, ACT Fibernet has also improved its positions on the ranking table, thus getting ahead of Reliance JioFiber.

ACT Fibernet has become one of the most popular broadband service providers in the country, and it is also one of the few operators in the space which is offering speeds of up to 1 Gbps. However, in a new update, ACT Fibernet has announced a partnership with Greater Chennai Corporation to deploy Wi-Fi hotspots across the city. As per the latest release from ACT Fibernet, the initiative is part of the Smart City project which has been hatched by the government and will be carried out by Greater Chennai Corporation. After this project is finished, the public will be able to seamlessly connect to the internet for free using the Wi-Fi hotspots. ACT Fibernet has revealed that along with Greater Chennai Corporation, it has installed more than 25 Wi-Fi zones across prime locations in the city including 14 Amma Canteens across 15 Zones in Greater Chennai Corporation. As per ACT Fibernet, up to 250 to 300 users will be able to log-in at one time to these Wi-Fi zones to experience high-speed internet for free from ACT Fibernet.

Users to Enjoy Up to 20 Mbps Speed

In its release, ACT Fibernet has also detailed that the users will be able to use the internet for 30 minutes with the speed of 20 Mbps to upload and download files browse online, watch videos, visit social media handles and more. These Wi-Fi hotspots will also be very useful for ACT Fibernet users as they would be able to enjoy similar speeds as their home at these Wi-Fi zones using their log-in credentials. So, while the other non-ACT Fibernet users will be enjoying speeds up to only 20 Mbps, the ACT Fibernet subscribers will be able to use the Wi-Fi at much higher speeds like 100 Mbps.

About this new launch, Mr Sandeep Gupta, COO, Atria Convergence Technologies Ltd commented, “The Government of Tamil Nadu is committed to deliver wide network Wi-Fi connectivity in the state through various smart city projects. ACT Fibernet’s vision is to deliver high-speed internet to all citizens, and we are extremely privileged to work with government to bring superfast internet via hotspots to the common man. With this initiative, many more people can access high-speed internet and help accelerate the government’s vision of inclusive Digital Tamil Nadu and Digital India.”

Mr G. Prakash, IAS, Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, also added, “ACT Fibernet is one of the most trusted fibre broadband providers in India, and we are happy to have them on board. ACT Fibernet has been providing high-speed and futuristic internet connectivity to millions of homes in India, many of our government schools are also powered by their fibre internet connectivity.”

ACT Subscribers in Chennai Enjoy Better Plans

To recall, last month ACT Fibernet has upgraded its speeds in Chennai. While Bengaluru and Hyderabad are some of the most promising markets for ACT Fibernet, Chennai has now also come into that category. In this new revision, ACT Fibernet had upgraded the speeds of the plans being offered in Chennai to ship at least 50 Mbps. Also, as compared to the other cities, the Chennai subscribers of ACT Fibernet enjoy better benefits as the ACT Giga plan with 1 Mbps speed is the cheapest one across all of ACT Fibernet portfolio. While the subscribers in other cities have to pay Rs 5,999 for this plan, the Chennai subscribers of ACT Giga plan only pay Rs 2,999, which is half the price.

JioTV Plus App Inside Jio 4K Set-Top Box is an Integrated Platform That Brings Content Together

Reliance Jio has finally started issuing its 4K Set-Top Box to the paid JioFiber users in various cities. Over the last few weeks, Reliance Jio is also migrating the JioFiber preview plan users to paid plans alongside acquiring new users with a paid plan. Reliance Jio did not issue Set-Top Box to paid users right away after the commercial launch for some unknown reasons, but now, it started distributing the 4K supported STB to the users who are on a paid JioFiber plan. For the unaware, Reliance JioFiber broadband plans start at Rs 699 and they go all the way up to Rs 8,499 offering speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Reliance Jio’s 4K Set-Top Box comes preinstalled with an app called JioTV Plus or JioTV+, which is a content aggregator app that brings together TV Shows, Movies, Video on Demand and your favourite Applications.

JioTV Plus: What is It and Who Can Avail It?

Broadband service providers like Airtel Xstream Fibre and ACT Fibernet are partnering with OTT content service providers to bundle paid subscriptions with their broadband plans. For example, Airtel Xstream Fibre plans above Rs 999 come with all the Airtel Thanks benefits like free Netflix subscription for three months, free Amazon Prime membership for one year, free ZEE5 Premium membership worth Rs 999 and Airtel Xstream app premium membership.

JioFiber subscribers on paid plans will also get access to OTT subscriptions, according to the company’s website. But Reliance Jio will be following an entirely different way of providing premium OTT subscriptions. While Airtel Xstream Fibre users can redeem the OTT service subscriptions and view the content on respective platforms, it seems like JioFiber customers will be allowed to view the content from the Set-Top Box.

For example, the JioTV Plus app integrates the content from OTT applications. According to Reliance Jio, the JioTV Plus service is “India’s first-ever integrated platform that brings together TV Shows, Movies, Video on Demand and your favourite Applications.”

Also, the JioFiber broadband plans above Rs 849 come with a minimum of three months of OTT apps subscription. As we have reported recently, Reliance Jio 4K Set-Top Box is offering a few Live TV channels to the users and they can be viewed from the JioTV Plus app itself.

Reliance Jio will likely announce its partnerships with OTT content service providers in the coming days or by the end of this year post which we will get an idea of what content will come bundled inside the JioTV Plus app.

JioFiber Broadband Plans Offer At least 3 Months of OTT Apps Subscriptions

Back in September this year, Reliance Jio announced the JioFiber broadband plans and they start at Rs 699. Besides the Rs 699 JioFiber Bronze plan, other broadband plans ship with a minimum of three months OTT apps subscriptions. The JioFiber Rs 699 plan comes with three months of JioCinema and JioSaavn subscriptions, whereas the company says the other plans come with three months of OTT app subscriptions, of which details are not known at the moment.

JioFiber Silver plan of Rs 849 will offer three months of OTT apps subscriptions, whereas the JioFiber Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Titanium plans come with an annual subscription to the same OTT apps. If a subscriber chooses any of the JioFiber broadband plans for one year, then they will get the subscription to OTT apps as well for one year.

Airtel Broadband Rs 999 Plan Can Be Worth the Extra Spend Against JioFiber Silver Plan

If the subscribers of broadband services are asked about some of the most popular plans and service providers out there, then the chances are that we are going to hear a handful of names and one of the top ones in the list is probably going to be Reliance JioFiber. Now, a little while ago, Bharti Airtel’s broadband services were not matching up to the levels of JioFiber, but with a little tweaking in the plans, some changes, the plans of Bharti Airtel are competing harshly with the Reliance JioFiber plans. This is true for the lower speed ranges, and the high speed ranges as well. There was a dearth of plans with Bharti Airtel which shipped speeds in the higher ranges like 300 Mbps or 1 Gbps. But with the introduction of the VIP Broadband plan in the Bharti Airtel broadband portfolio, things have taken a turn, and the competition is intensified between JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fibre. That is also true for the price range around Rs 1,000. In this price range, here is how JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fibre offerings compare.

Reliance JioFiber Silver Plan for Rs 849 Per Month

Firstly, we would have to take a look at the Silver plan being offered by Reliance JioFiber for Rs 849 per month. As subscribers of this fibre broadband plan, the customers will enjoy 100 Mbps speed and 200GB of data FUP in a month. Along with this, Reliance JioFiber is giving extra data FUP of 200GB, so the total data offering would be 400GB in a month. There would also be other additional benefits which Reliance Jio would be giving to the users like the free voice calling, subscription to OTT applications, and more. As part of the Welcome Offer, the Reliance JioFiber subscribers would be able to get a Jio Set-Top Box and a Jio Home Gateway too. If the subscribers get an annual subscription of this plan, however, they will enjoy 800GB monthly data, or two extra months of service depending on their choice.

Airtel Broadband Entertainment Plan of Rs 999

Coming to the Airtel Xstream Fibre broadband plan of Rs 999, which is the Entertainment plan, the subscribers enjoy up to 200 Mbps speeds and a monthly data FUP of 300GB. However, along with this, the subscribers also get some very attractive additional benefits which include Netflix subscription for three months, Amazon Prime subscription for a year, ZEE5 annual subscription and access to Airtel Xstream app as well. Also, for an additional cost of Rs 299, the subscribers can choose to make their plan an unlimited one, with unlimited data.

Which One to Go For?

Now coming to a one on one comparison of both these plans, although the Airtel broadband plan is almost Rs 50 more than the JioFiber silver plan, the former ships 100 Mbps more speed, which is just double the speed of the first plan. Another major feature, which the subscribers can make use of is the unlimited data option, which will set them back by Rs 299 but would avail them unlimited data at just double the speed. This would not be possible with Reliance JioFiber plan. The most that subscribers would be able to do would be to get an annual subscription, which would get them a maximum of 800GB data per month. Not only this but the additional benefits of having a Netflix and Amazon Prime subscription is something that most customers would be attracted to. On the other hand, while JioFiber does offer a free Set-Top Box, subscribers getting it would still have to get a separate connection from an LCO and pay for it.

BSNL Broadband Rs 849 and Airtel Rs 999 Plan: Rental is Almost Same But Benefits are Not

$

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) sets itself apart from all the other private telecom operators owing to its unique offerings. Even in the case of prepaid and postpaid plans, the state-led telecom operator has positioned itself uniquely in the market such that the offerings from the state-led telecom operator are vastly different from the ones being offered by the other competitors. The same is also true for the highly competitive broadband market. Now, in this case, it is crucial to note that BSNL actually has the most extensive broadband network across India, and it is actually the biggest broadband provider in the country. Now the telco is also offering FTTH plans to the users as well. But, in these broadband plans, the thing that steps them apart from the rest is the daily data cap, which is similar to the prepaid plans in the market but is unique considering the fact that BSNL is the only one offering plans with a daily data cap. However, there are some plans which come with no daily data cap as well. These include the Rs 949 plan and more. However, today, we are taking a look at some other plan and its competition.

BSNL Rs 849 Broadband Plan Details

Firstly, we should understand what the Rs 849 BSNL Fibre broadband plan offers to the customers. Now, the first thing to note is that the Rs 849 broadband plan by BSNL is one of the most popular plans out there, so much so that it has been given a “popular” tag on the BSNL official website as well. When it comes to benefits, the BSNL Rs 849, or popularly known as Fibro 600GB plan offers 600GB data per month to the subscribers and it does so at the speed of 50 Mbps. The after FUP speed in this plan is 2 Mbps, meaning that after the exhaustion of 600GB, the subscribers will experience the speed of 2 Mbps. In addition to this, the subscribers will also get unlimited calling benefit too. Lastly, being a plan priced above Rs 749 per month, the BSNL broadband subscribers of this plan also get to enjoy Amazon Prime membership for an entire year.

Bharti Airtel Rs 999 Broadband Plan Details

Against the BSNL broadband plan of Rs 849, we have pitted the Airtel broadband plan of Rs 999. The Entertainment broadband plan by Airtel. This broadband plan by Bharti Airtel costs only about Rs 150 more than the BSNL broadband plan, but the benefit which it offers, far outweigh the price that the subscribers pay. As for speed, the Airtel Rs 999 broadband plan subscribers get 200 Mbps, which is four times more than what BSNL offers. As for the data limit, the subscribers enjoy 300GB data per month, with unlimited calling as well. However, the subscribers also get the option of turning their data into unlimited data by paying Rs 299 extra. In terms of additional benefits, the Airtel broadband plan blows BSNL out of the water by giving Amazon Prime subscription for an entire year, Netflix for three months, ZEE5 for a year and Airtel Xstream subscription too.

Comparison

For the subscribers looking for a broadband plan, the BSNL broadband portfolio does have some attractive option, for example, the Rs 777 broadband plan which is actually under offer, and it ships 500GB data per month. There are also various plans which offer ample daily data to the customers. However, when it comes to certain parameters like the additional benefits and speeds, the Airtel broadband plans, do have an edge.

Spectra and ACT Fibernet Has Cheapest 1 Gbps Broadband Plans, Airtel and JioFiber Follow Next

$

ACT Fibernet was the first Internet Service Provider (ISP) in India to launch a 1 Gbps broadband plan and it was soon followed by Spectra which has a presence in popular cities like Bengaluru and New Delhi. Reliance JioFiber is currently the popular service provider in the country to offer 1 Gbps broadband plans in several cities. The Mukesh Ambani-owned company’s broadband plans will be available in over 1,100 cities. Airtel Xstream Fibre also introduced a 1 Gbps broadband plan priced at Rs 3,999 and it’s also offering the same in more than 100 cities now. JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fibre’s broadband plans cost the same in all the cities where it has operations, but that’s not the case with Spectra and ACT Fibernet as their plan prices vary with every city.

Airtel Xstream Fibre Plan With 1 Gbps Speeds

Bharti Airtel has also expanded into the gigabyte segment by bringing the 1 Gbps plan offering for its broadband customers under its new brand identity- Airtel Xstream Fibre. As part of Airtel Xstream Fibre, the subscribers will be able to access 3.3TB of data at 1 Gbps speed for Rs 3,999 per month. There will also be the Airtel Thanks benefits combined with this plan which includes free Amazon Prime membership for a year, Netflix for three months, and a premium subscription to Airtel Xstream TV. Airtel is also shipping free ZEE5 Premium subscription to the users.

Spectra Broadband Plans With 1 Gbps Speeds

Spectra is one of the broadband service providers, which is offering attractive and economical 1 Gbps plans. The internet service provider was also the second operator in the space to start offering 1 Gbps speeds after ACT Fibernet. Not only is Spectra offering 1 Gbps speed, but it also offering an extra nine months of service to its subscribers if they pay Rs 21,934 for a yearly subscription. The customer getting a yearly broadband subscription from Spectra with 1 Gbps speed will have to pay an effective monthly cost of Rs 885. Currently, Spectra is providing services in Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru.

JIoFiber Plans With 1 Gbps Speed

Reliance Jio’s JioFiber is the obvious inclusion in this list. The telco starts providing gigabyte speed plans at Rs 3,999, which is the Platinum plan from JioFiber. Under this plan, the subscribers will enjoy 1 Gbps speed and FUP data of up to 2500GB. There are also additional benefits like video calling, no-latency gaming, VR headset and access to first-day first show movies. There is also the Welcome Offer from Reliance Jio on this plan which will get the customers, the subscription to OTT apps. There is also the Rs 8,499 Titanium plan which offers 1 Gbps speed and up to 5000GB data per month. The additional benefits with this plan remain the same as with the above plans.

ACT Fibernet 1 Gbps Broadband Plan Available in 3 Cities

To recall, ACT Fibrenet was the first ISP in India to launch a 1 Gbps broadband plan. The Bengaluru-based company launched the plan in Hyderabad city first, and later on, it was made available in Bengaluru as well. In Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the ACT Giga or the 1 Gbps broadband plan costs Rs 5,999. However, in Chennai where the company is offering the same ACT Giga plan, it’s charging just Rs 2,999 per month from the customers. ACT Fibernet plans to launch the same ACT Giga plan in several cities, but for now, it’s available only in three cities as mentioned above.

Reliance Jio No Longer Offering Preview Offer to New JioFiber Users

$

0

Reliance Jio is currently focussing on adding more JioFiber customers across the country. Up until now, Reliance Jio offered ‘Preview Offer’ to the customers in various locations, but that has ended now as every new JioFiber user will have to choose a paid plan to avail the services. In addition, existing JioFiber users who are on the Preview Offer are being migrated to paid plans and the company is even providing Set-Top Box to paid plan users in some places. For the unaware, Reliance Jio offered Preview plan before the commercial launch of JioFiber. As part of the JioFiber Preview Offer, customers enjoyed 100 Mbps plan with 1.1TB FUP every month at no extra cost. Even after the commercial launch, Jio offered Preview Offer for at least two months, but now, the company is only offering paid plans to the new users.

Reliance JioFiber New Customers Can Now Choose Only Paid Plans

Before the commercial launch of JioFiber, everyone expected that the Mukesh Ambani-led ISP would disrupt the broadband industry as well similar to what it did back in 2016 with the telecom industry. But that wasn’t the case as JioFiber broadband plans were lukewarm and all the plans come with a monthly FUP limit which did not impress several users. Reliance Jio Preview plan users were enjoying 100 Mbps speeds and 1.1TB FUP limit every month, but there’s no such paid plan offered by the company.

Right now, Reliance Jio is no longer offering Preview Offer to the new users and they will have to shell out at least Rs 699 (excluding taxes) every month for the paid plan. We have confirmed this news via JioFiber marketing/installation team in Hyderabad city. Several other users who recently got a JioFiber connection also said the same on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

JioFiber new customers will also have to pay Rs 2,500 as one-time charges of which Rs 1,500 will be refunded at the time of disconnection and Rs 1,000 will be non-refundable installation charges. New JioFiber users will also get a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router and the ONT box. Reliance Jio is yet to start providing its 4K Set-Top Box to the new/existing users in Hyderabad for now.

JioFiber Preview Plan Users are Being Migrated to Paid Plans

In other news, Reliance Jio is now converting all the Preview plan users to paid plans to streamline the platform. Aforesaid, Jio offered a Preview plan to the users before the commercial launch and the company just took one-time charges from the users. Users who are on the JioFiber Preview offer are now being provided with an option to migrate to a paid plan or disconnect the services and get the partial refund amount.

While some users are migrating to paid plans, the majority of them are disconnecting the connection due to the sub-par JioFiber broadband plans. JioFiber plans are not at all competitive in the industry as Internet Service Providers like Airtel Xstream Fibre, ACT Fibernet and other local operators are delivering better overall plans at the same rates.

Everyone is expecting that Reliance Jio may come up with new JioFiber broadband plans in the coming days, but we don’t think the ISP will introduce any more plans at least for the next six months. That said, Jio will soon announce its partnerships with OTT service providers and the subscriptions being offered to JioFiber paid plan users.

Airtel, Tata Sky and Other Broadband Companies Offering Most Affordable 100 Mbps Plans

$

While the industry has been filled with the chatter of 1 Gbps speed plans, there is no dearth of operators offering plans which come with 100 Mbps speed. While the plans with 1 Gbps speed do sound a lot fancy, the truth with most consumers is that they are not likely to require such high speeds for their day to day usage. With the common usage being streaming of services like Netflix, or even gaming, most broadband users will be better off using connections which offer 100 Mbps sped. The good thing about plans with 100 Mbps is that they are not like the 50 Mbps plans that tend to slow down when multiple users are occupying the bandwidth, and also they are not as highly-priced as the other higher speed plans from the broadband operators. Almost all the broadband companies are offering very affordable 100 Mbps broadband plans in India right now. Here we take a look at some of the most affordable 100 Mbps broadband plans in the industry right now.

Tata Sky happens to be the top DTH provider as we speak right now. The DTH company has surpassed the now second-ranking Dish TV to take the top spot when it comes to DTH operations. However, Tata Sky also has a broadband wing and owing to its extensive last-mile connectivity, the company has been able to cover some of the most prominent cities in India where it is now offering broadband services to the customers. However, the broadband industry in India is no less competitive right now. In the run-up to the launch of JioFiber, all the other broadband service provider have been ramped up their offerings to lure the subscribers towards their plans. Tata Sky Broadband is not behind in this part. Now, Tata Sky Broadband portfolio is filled with two types of plans which offer either unlimited data or fixed GB data. There is also the fact that the Tata Sky Broadband plan does not provide any other fancy additional benefit apart from the core services. But, there is one feature which attracts the attention of the customers towards Tata Sky Broadband, and that is the data carryover feature.

tata-sky-broadband-data-rollover

Tata Sky Data Carryover Feature

It is worth noting that Tata Sky Broadband is one of the very few broadband service providers in India who are offering the data carryover feature to their subscribers. For the unaware, the data carryover is a popular functionality found on the postpaid plans of telecom operators. The data carryover feature basically allows the subscribers to keep their data intact and unused for usage in the next month. For example, the data FUP of a plan is 100GB, and the customers only use 50GB of the data, then next month, the subscribers would be able to use 150GB data. This feature works especially well for the users who have less data usage and might want to use that data on a later stage.

Tata Sky Broadband offers the data carryover feature for all its fixed GB plans. Also, the speeds for these Tata Sky Broadband plans range from 25 Mbps to 100 Mbps. The interested customers should also note that the Tata Sky Broadband plans do not only come with this benefit, but there are other benefits as well to these Tata Sky Broadband apart from data rollover. For example, if the subscribers will get the Tata Sky Broadband plan for three months in the Mumbai region, they would get the benefit of a free router and a free installation as well. When the subscribers of these plans further go up the subscription period and opt for a subscription of 6 months, they would be able to enjoy an additional 10% as well. In the 12 months subscription period, the discount gets upped to 15% for the subscribers of Tata Sky Broadband. Hence, data rollover, free router and discounts are some of the things that make Tata Sky Broadband plans attractive.

Other Broadband Providers Offering Data Carryover

It is also crucial to note, that we mentioned that Tata Sky Broadband is one of the ‘few’ broadband operators that comes with the data carryover feature, and there are other operators also who offer this feature. These operators include You Broadband and Spectra. Apart from this, Tata Sky Broadband also offers some attractive unlimited data broadband plans which have been revised recently. These plans also come at attractive rates and offer benefits like a free router and discounts on long-term subscriptions.

Just like the other prepaid and DTH industries in India right now, the broadband market has also grown fairly competitive, and all of that has happened in the run-up to the launch of the FTTH service from the Mukesh Ambani led telco, Reliance Jio. The JioFiber service was much hyped before the launch and continues to remain in the headlines for long. However, when the service was actually introduced in the market, it failed to capture the attention of the public in a way that was expected. The Reliance JioFiber plans still see a somewhat lukewarm response from the public. But, if we know anything about Reliance Jio, it’s the fact that the telco is not the one amongst to sit quiet and take the beating of the competition and in its new move, Reliance Jio seems to be doing exactly that. The telco has announced the launch of a new JioFiber plan for the subscribers which will also be the cheapest plan in the Reliance Jio roster. The JioFiber plan that we are talking about is the Rs 351 plan from the telecom operator. Here are all the details that you need to know about this new plan.

reliance-jiofiber-rs351-broadband-plan

JioFiber Rs 351 Plan Details and Benefits

The first thing to note about this plan is that it has been made for consumers who do not want a lot of data and speed and would simply like to access the internet from time to time. The consumers can have a fair idea given the current pricing scenario in the market as to what a broadband plan can ship under Rs 400, and it’s definitely not a lot, even though the company is Reliance Jio. Coming to the benefit of this plan, Reliance Jio has noted that this JioFiber plan will ship 50GB data per month to the users and it will come with 10 Mbps speed. The after-FUP speed in this plan would be 1 Mbps. Apart from this, the subscribers will enjoy the free unlimited calling facility as well.

No Installation or Upfront Charges on This Plan

There is another very crucial thing to note about this plan, and that is the fact that Reliance Jio is not going to charge any kind of installation charges or one-time charge from the customers. As opposed to this, the other Reliance JioFiber customers are required to pay Rs 2,500 before the connection, out of which a certain amount is non-refundable. But, that won’t be the case for this new Rs 351 FTTH plan by Reliance Jio. With taxes, the plan will cost the subscribers Rs 414 after GST. As for other special benefits in this plan, the subscribers will get complimentary TV video calling. Also, the subscribers will be able to opt for 3 months, 6 months, or a semi-annual subscription option for this plan, but there is no additional benefit on that.

Significance of the Rs 351 FTTH Plan

It is worth noting that Reliance Jio is the telecom operator which has set its vision towards more and more subscribers in the coming time. Now, its JioFiber FTTH portfolio is aimed at high-end households which would require high-speed internet with more data and better services. Also, the launch of those plans has coincided with the entry of JioFiber in tier I and tier-II cities. But, as JioFiber makes its way into the tier II and tier III cities more thoroughly, the introduction of such a plan makes total sense as it will see Interest from users with a slight rural influence.

The telecom industry has been caught up in a new wave of change which involves hiking of tariffs. The tariff hike is going to impact the consumers very much as they will now have to pay up to 40% more for the same amount of data. However, there is still hope for the subscribers as in the past few months, the monthly rentals of broadband plans have fallen. This means that the subscribers are more likely to consider getting a new broadband plan, more than ever, with the mobile data costs increasing whereas, the high-speed broadband plans costing less. Also, with the massive adaption of the streaming services like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime and others, the subscribers are going to look towards cheap high-speed data so that they can continue to stream their favourite shows. There are ample of choices available to the subscribers if they want to get a broadband connection, but what the subscribers usually look for in a wired connection are two things – decent speeds and unlimited data. Here, we have compiled the most attractive broadband plans from various operators which might suit your internet needs.

Airtel Xstream Fiber Unlimited Data Plans

Now the plan that we are talking about here comes with a unique configuration. The first plan in the Airtel Xstream Fiber, or popularly known as Airtel Broadband roster is the Rs 799 broadband plan. This plan ships 100 Mbps speed and unlimited local/STD calls to the subscribers. When it comes to the data limit, the plan as such offers 150GB data per month to the subscribers. However, this is not where the story ends. The subscribers of Airtel Broadband have a choice of extending their plan’s data FUP limit to unlimited. This is true for all Airtel broadband plans besides the Rs 799 plan. But, it is also worth noting that although Airtel promises unlimited data, the data is capped at 3.3TB, but it is unlikely that the subscribers run out of that much data with 100 Mbps speed. The cost of this plan, along with the unlimited data extension, is going to be Rs 1,098.

Hathway Broadband Unlimited Plans for Streaming

In the case of Hathway, the subscribers will have plenty of speed options ranging from 50 Mbps and above. For example, in Hyderabad, the subscribers will have the option of getting the 50 Mbps plan with unlimited data for Rs 349 under the value plan. The 100 Mbps Freedom plan by Hathway is available to the subscribers for Rs 499 under the Value tag. Lastly, there is also the 125 Mbps plan for the subscribers as well, which would be available for Rs 549 per month under the Value tag.

Tata Sky Broadband Unlimited Data Plans

Tata Sky Broadband has recently revamped its broadband portfolio, and now its plans start at Rs 900 for unlimited data. While the 25 Mbps plan is available for Rs 900, the 50 Mbps and the 100 Mbps speed plans cost Rs 1,000 per month and Rs 1,100 per month for the subscribers. The customers also enjoy many benefits like 10% or more discount, free router and free installation when they get a long-term subscription-like for six months or more.

You Broadband Unlimited Data Plans

You Broadband also has plenty of options for the subscribers when it comes to choosing for the optimum speed, but the options in the unlimited data section are very limited. For example, in Hyderabad, the subscribers have the maximum speed option of 75 Mbps under the unlimited data section, and this plan is available for Rs 797.

Reliance Jio Starts Charging JioFiber Customers as Billing System Comes Back on Track

Reliance JioFiber started providing Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) services to its customers back in September this year. A lot of the customers were also using these services on a preview basis for a long time. However, as per an ET Telecom report on the matter, the free party for these subscribers of JioFiber might have ended as Reliance Jio has finally started charging these customers and is asking them to choose from the home broadband plans. To recall, Reliance JioFiber customers had started using the services but were not paying anything for it because the telecom operator was busy setting up its new billing system. But, now it seems that the customers will finally have to start paying the monthly rental for their wired broadband connection from JioFiber. This move is bound to help the telecom operator’s profitability as well.

jiofiber-customers-pay-billing-systems

Customers in Metros to be Charged First

As per a Reliance Jio official, the customers who had deposited Rs 2,500 as an upfront amount before their connection, are now charged the monthly rental in the big metro markets from now on. The commercial billing should also be on, on a pan-India basis in a couple of weeks, as per the Jio official. The Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator had around 5 lakh customers who had come on board the testing phase of Reliance JioFiber and were enjoying free services since then. Now, these customers will be billed commercially going forward, which will require them to select their respective home broadband plan. Also, the transition of these preview customers into paid customers is likely to happen in phases.

Reliance Jio Billing System Stabilisises

Another person aware of this new transition process told ET, “Existing customers who had opted for the trials are being told that free home broadband services will be discontinued shortly and they need to migrate to specific JioFiber plans to stay connected.”

It is worth noting that Reliance JioFiber plans start at the price of Rs 699 per month and go as high as Rs 8,499 with speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps. These plans not only ship high-speed data to the consumers but also come bundled with various services like video calling, voice calling, home network sharing, device security and access to the content platform. In the past few months, the billing of these broadband customers was not happening since the billing platform, which was used for billing both the broadband customers and mobility customers of Reliance Jio could not be stabilised. Now that the system is back on track, these subscribers of the JioFiber can be started to bill on a monthly basis.

Reliance Jio to Target Mobility Customers for JioFiber

As per Nitin Soni from Fitch, Jio’s broadband user base might jump up to 10 million mark in two years, and the reason for that could be “the company’s market execution, distribution reach and retail footprint.” Currently, Reliance Jio might have 700,000 subscribers hooked onto its home broadband plans. Further, as per the analysts, Reliance Jio is expected to target its mobility customers for the JioFiber plans as that would create stickiness with the same set of customers. It would also provide JioFiber with cross-promotional opportunities. The other competing telecom operators might find this hard to replicate given their balance sheet issues. As per Jio’s words, it is targeting 20 million homes and 16 million enterprises across 1,600 towns and aims to complete the rollout in 12-18 months. The analysts, however, believe that the growth of JioFiber is expected to be gradual as the pricing is not disruptive.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has received a revival package from the government, and now the telecom operator is back on its track to launch new consumer-centric offerings. The broadband industry in India is one of the most active ones right now, with new plan launches, offerings and more. However, while taking a look at the broadband industry in India, most subscribers fail to see that BSNL is the topmost telecom operator in the country with the most massive broadband network spread all across the country. Some of the BSNL broadband plans are also one of the most attractive plans in the market as well. Now, one of the most attractive broadband plans in the BSNL roster is the Rs 777 broadband plan. A few months back, BSNL had withdrawn this plan, and the consumers were not happy about it much. However, since then, the telecom operator has debuted this plan for a limited period a couple of times. Once again, the Rs 777 broadband plan is back available for the subscribers and under this plan, they will be able to enjoy some attractive benefits. Here is what you need to know about the Rs 777 BSNL Broadband plan.

bsnl-rs777-broadband-plan-comeback

BSNL Rs 777 Broadband Plan Benefits and Offer Details

Speaking about the benefits of this plan, the subscribers should keep in mind that the Rs 777 broadband plan by BSNL will come with 50 Mbps speed and the data limit in this plan is 500GB per month. After the exhaustion of the FUP limit, the subscribers will experience a speed of 2 Mbps. Not only this, but the subscribers also get free unlimited calls to all networks anywhere in India. But, since this plan is under an offer from BSNL, there is a catch with this plan too. Currently, the Rs 777 broadband plan is only valid for new BSNL Broadband users in India.

Things You Must Know About Rs 777 Broadband Plan

BSNL has noted that the Rs 777 broadband plan will be valid for six months only. So, the subscribers opting for the Rs 777 broadband plan should keep in mind that after the subscription period of 6 months, they will be shifted to the 600GB CUL plan by BSNL Broadband. Now for the subscribers who opt for the Rs 777 Broadband plan, it is also worth noting that the 600GB CUL broadband plan comes with a monthly rental of Rs 999.

Rs 999 Broadband Plan Benefits

In the Rs 999 broadband plan, or popularly known as the 600GB CUL broadband plan, the subscribers will experience 80 Mbps speed and the total data limit per month would be 600GB per month. After the exhaustion of the FUP limit, the speed would be throttled down to 2 Mbps. The unlimited calling benefit of 24 hours, to any network across India, remains intact in this BSNL Broadband plan as well.

Other BSNL Broadband Plan Options

The Rs 777 broadband plan will only be live for 6 months only, and after that, the subscribers will automatically be shifted to the Rs 999 broadband plan. However, there are other choices as well for the BSNL broadband subscribers. Further up the BSNL broadband roster, there are various plans like Rs 1,999, Rs 2,999 and Rs 4,999 which offers 1400GB, 2000GB and 3500GB per month data to the subscribers. The unlimited calling feature remains on all of these plans.

Hathway Broadband has been launching new offers to the customers in Hyderabad city for a while now. Earlier this year, Hathway offered a 50 Mbps broadband plan in Hyderabad without any FUP limit at Rs 349/Rs 399 per month. And now, the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is offering a 100 Mbps plan with the same unlimited data benefit at Rs 499 per month. This new offer from Hathway is known as ‘Steal the Deal’ and it’s currently available only in Hyderabad city. Unlike operators like JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fibre, Hathway Broadband has different plans for different cities. For example, in Chennai, Hathway is providing a broadband plan with up to 300 Mbps speeds, whereas in Hyderabad, the maximum speeds offered by the same operator is 125 Mbps. Similar to different plans, the company is running different offers in other cities as well.

Hathway 100 Mbps Plan at Rs 499 per Month: How to Avail

Hathway has now come up with a new offer called ‘Steal the Deal’ for the residents in Hyderabad. Notably, Hathway Broadband is providing services across several parts of Hyderabad, so the availability will not be an issue. But when compared to the likes of ACT Fibernet and Airtel Xstream, the company still lags when it comes to delivering services in remote locations.

In Hyderabad, almost every broadband service provider is offering the best plans, compared to what they offer in other cities. For example, Bharti Airtel has three unlimited FUP plans in Hyderabad, whereas, in other cities, it has just one unlimited data plan.

The new offer from Hathway provides 100 Mbps speeds without any FUP limit at just Rs 499 per month. For the unaware, Hathway already has a 100 Mbps broadband plan in Hyderabad, priced at Rs 599 per month. If a customer chooses the same broadband plan for 12 months, then the monthly subscription charges will come down to Rs 499 per month. But the overall amount of Rs 5,988 will have to paid by the customer at the time of choosing the service. As said, we’re not sure whether the offer provides a user 100 Mbps plan at Rs 499 per month even if the user selects the offer for one month. We have reached out to Hathway for clarification and will update this space if we receive a revert from the company.

Other Hathway Broadband Plans in Hyderabad City

ACT Fibernet and Airtel Xstream Fibre are the two Internet Service Providers in Hyderabad offering up to 1 Gbps broadband plan. Hathway’s high-speed plan in Hyderabad is the 125 Mbps plan priced at Rs 649 per month. Thankfully, all the Hathway broadband plans in the city offer unlimited data without any FUP limit every month. But sadly, there are no extra data offers provided by Hathway right now like other service providers in the city.

As for other broadband plans, Hathway has a 50 Mbps unlimited data broadband plan priced at Rs 449 per month. If a customer opts for the 50 Mbps plan for 12 months, then the monthly price will come down to Rs 349 per month. And as said, the data benefit is truly unlimited. There’s a 75 Mbps plan priced at Rs 449 per month, followed by an 80 Mbps plan that costs just Rs 499 per month. All the prices mentioned above are exclusive of taxes, so 18% GST will be added to the final subscription amount.

ACT Fibernet Offering Rs 500 Off on Netflix Subscription With 1 Gbps Broadband Plan

Atria Convergence Technologies or ACT Fibernet announced its partnership with popular streaming service Netflix earlier this year. As part of this partnership, ACT Fibernet customers choosing an Entertainment broadband plan can avail up to Rs 500 cashback on Netflix subscription while paying through ACT Fibernet’s monthly bill. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) has made some changes to the Netflix Entertainment plans and has eventually reduced the cashback amount offered on Netflix subscription. For example, ACT Fibernet’s non-gigabit plans used to provide a maximum cashback of Rs 350, but now, the same plans are coming with a discount of just Rs 200 on Netflix subscription. ACT Fibernet is currently offering the Netflix Entertainment plans in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi cities.

ACT Fibernet Makes Changes to Netflix Entertainment Plans

ACT Fibernet established a partnership with Netflix earlier this year to offer up to Rs 500 cashback on Netflix subscription via its rental. For example, if a customer chooses the 1 Gbps ACT Giga broadband plan, then he/she can get Rs 500 cashback on monthly Netflix subscription. If the person chooses Rs 500 Netflix Basic plan, then the overall charges will be waived off thanks to this offer.

The ISP has now made changes to the overall offer and it reduced the discount offered on other broadband plans except ACT Giga. For example, in Hyderabad city, the A-Max 1050 plan used to provide a cashback of Rs 200 (on six months subscription) and Rs 300 (on 12 months subscription). But after the latest revision, the Netflix subscription cashback amount has been reduced to just Rs 100, irrespective of the subscription period. Even the Rs 1,299 broadband plan comes with just Rs 100 cashback on Netflix subscription. The Rs 1,999 broadband plan in Hyderabad comes with Rs 200 Netflix cashback offer.

The same case applies to Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi cities as well. In Delhi city, ACT Fibernet has just two Netflix Entertainment plans- ACT Platinum Promo and ACT Diamond, which come with Rs 100 and Rs 350 Netflix cashback offer respectively.

In Bengaluru, ACT Fibernet’s cashback on Netflix plans starts at Rs 50. ACT Fibernet plans which are part of Netflix Entertainment package are ACT Blace (Rs 50 Netflix cashback), ACT Storm (Rs 50), ACT Lightning (Rs 100), ACT Incredible (Rs 150) and ACT Giga (Rs 500). Thankfully, ACT Fibernet did not revise the cashback amount offered on ACT Giga plans though. Besides Delhi, ACT Fibernet is providing 1 Gbps ACT Giga plan in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai cities.

Furthermore, ACT Fibernet even removed the extra data offer on Netflix Entertainment plans which it used to offer in the past.

ACT Fibernet Also Offering ACT Stream TV 4K at Rs 1,500 Right Now

In other news, ACT Fibernet is also providing the ACT Stream 4K TV streaming device to eligible customers at an introductory price of Rs 1,500. At the start of 2019, ACT Fibernet made headlines due to its partnership with Netflix and the announcement of ACT Stream TV 4K device. The ACT Stream TV 4K is an Android TV-based streaming device which runs on Android TV 9 Pie platform. It comes preloaded with apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, ZEE5, Hotstar, YouTube and so on.

The speciality of ACT Stream TV 4K is the Live TV section which allows users to watch some FTA channels through the internet. ACT Fibernet also has some premium TV channels which can be viewed by paying the monthly subscription amount. For other users, the same ACT Stream TV 4K costs Rs 4,499, but for the ACT Fibernet customers, the ISP is currently offering it at an introductory price of Rs 1,500.

You Broadband, the Vodafone-owned company, is one of the broadband service providers which allows its users to carry forward the unused data from the current month to next month. Airtel broadband plans used to offer carry forward feature in the past, but after the unveiling of Airtel Xstream Fibre plans, the company has stopped providing the feature. So the Internet Service Providers offering data carry forward functionality is pretty limited now and some of the names include You Broadband and Spectra. You Broadband allows its users on Dual FUP plans to carry forward a total of 1000GB in their account. Right now, You Broadband is providing speeds up to 200 Mbps in various cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and so on.

You Broadband Data Rollover Feature Detailed

You Broadband has been providing the data rollover feature for a while now, but now, the terms and conditions have been revealed by the ISP. In total, You Broadband customers on FUP plans (Dual Speed plans) will be able to carry forward up to 1000GB data. Also, the data rollover feature is available only to the You Broadband customers on Dual Speed (FUP) plans. The ISP is currently providing these Dual Speed (FUP) plans across all the cities where it’s operating right now.

You Broadband also says any plan segment changes will result in rolled over data to lapse. For example, if a customer changes the plan from FUP to unlimited to FUP to data plans, then all the data carried forward shall lapse. Existing You Broadband users can avail the offer on renewal of same FUP plan or upgrading to a higher FUP plan validity.

The data rollover facility is not applicable for commercial enterprises like SME/SOHO. There are two more things which the existing You Broadband customers should keep in mind: the data rollover facility will be valid only if the customer recharges when the account is in active status. Sometimes, customers delay the recharge for the next month, and in those cases, You Broadband says the data will not be carry forwarded. Next thing, the recharged plan value should be the same/higher in monthly average compared to the current plan. For instance, the current plan price is Rs 900 for three months (monthly average of Rs 300), then the recharged plan should be equal to Rs 300 or more than Rs 300 monthly average value.

You Broadband Dual FUP Plans Detailed

Aforesaid, You Broadband is currently offering Dual FUP plans in various cities and the maximum speeds provided by the ISP is 200 Mbps. Dual Speed (FUP) or Dual FUP plans from the company can be availed in monthly or quarterly or half-yearly or yearly subscription. If the customer fails to use the allotted monthly data, then the remaining data will be carry forwarded to the next month and they can carry forward a total of 1000GB data in their account. Post 1000GB, the data will not be carry forwarded and it will lapse. Do make a note that the Dual FUP broadband plans from You Broadband differ with almost every city.
